As teams from member companies of The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas volunteer across our community, Food for Thought ATX, with the support of Blackbaud, will be hosting an array of fun, informative evening events to continue the conversation of how we can impact Austin’s food insecurity and support local food organizations.

From 4 – 6 pm, we’ll begin the week at Capital Factory with discussions on Austin’s robust food ecosystem and barriers to access and solutions. We will also hear a summary of the latest food insecurity report from Dr. Raj Patel and Erin C. Lentz. Joining the conversation will be Derrick Chubbs (Central Texas Food Bank), Ronda Rutledge (Sustainable Food Center), Max Elliott (Urban Roots), Edwin Marty (Austin’s Office of Sustainability), and Robyn Metcalfe (Food + City). An interactive Q&A with the special guests will follow.

Grab chairs and a blanket, bring family and friends, and enjoy this special screening of Chef, presented by the Entrepreneurs Foundation and Blackbaud, at the Mobile Loaves and Fishes Community First! Outdoor Amphitheatre. Come as early as 7pm to explore Community First! Village, pick your spot, and enjoy your favorite movie snacks from the Community Grille. Burgers, french fries, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cards and cash accepted!).
