Join us for the Food For Thought: Spring Service Week Kick-Off, presented by The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas and Blackbaud!
During the week of May 21st-25th, the Entrepreneurs Foundation and Blackbaud’s Spring Service Week takes place with over 400 volunteers from 18 EF member companies! We’ve partnered with 7 nonprofits championing for the community and Austin’s food ecosystem to bring awareness and create an impact through service.
On Monday, May 21 from 4 – 6 pm, we’ll kick off the week at Capital Factory with some great food & light bites from Komeeda and local chefs around Austin.
World-renowned food economist Dr. Raj Patel and Dr. Erin C. Lentz will talk about how Austinites feed their families, how too many of our neighbours are challenged doing so, and innovative approaches to addressing solutions. We’ll then be joined by Derrick Chubbs (Central Texas Food Bank), Ronda Rutledge (Sustainable Food Center), Max Elliott (Urban Roots), and Dr. Robyn Metcalfe (Food+City) for an interactive conversation about Austin’s robust and fragile food ecosystem.
